A lash lift is a semi-permanent beauty treatment that curls and lifts your natural eyelashes from the base, making them appear longer, more defined, and more open without using extensions.
Lash lift vs. lash extensions
A lash lift works only with your natural lashes and usually creates a softer, more natural appearance. Lash extensions attach artificial fibers to individual lashes and can create greater length and volume, but they generally require more maintenance.
During the treatment, a technician places the lashes over a curved silicone shield and applies lifting and setting solutions to create the desired curl. A lash tint may also be added to make the lashes look darker and more noticeable.
Results typically last about 6–8 weeks, depending on your natural lash-growth cycle and aftercare. For the first 24–48 hours, you are usually advised to avoid water, steam, eye makeup, oils, and rubbing the eye area.
A lash lift is especially suitable for people who want:
- A natural, low-maintenance look
- Less need for an eyelash curler
- More visible, lifted lashes
- An alternative to lash extensions
